The canopy bed is beautiful and was easy to assemble. The instructions included are accurate and easy to follow. I only knocked a star off because the top and bottom "F" pieces did not screw in on the left side of the bed because the screw holes didn't align properly. I even tried turning them around, flipping them upside down and swapping the places of the 2 bars, to no avail. But I just left the bars slotted into the brackets and I think it will be ok..they are just not secured with screws on that side of the bed. I saw the Welling bedroom set and I just had to have it. I have looked at sets for years, but this was the one!! It is a very detailed set with a French style front, English back and with a Bombay curved shape. It is truly a luxurious and stunning design. It is oversized furniture so it takes up a fair amount of room. The top drawer in each piece is lined with felt. It has side metal drawer glides, scrolled legs with carvings, and antique pull-ring handles. The drawers have dovetailed drawers for sturdiness. Now for the Bed…. They were out of the Welling Brand Bed so I saw that this Glendo was the same bed so I ordered it. I wanted to explain the positives of the set at the beginning of the review. This vintage bedroom set really makes a statement and this bed is the piece de resistance of the set. The bed has an arched headboard with beautiful carved wood designs around the edges. The wood is scored and rubbed to give it a distressed look. The footboard dips downward instead of arching and has the same floral carvings. On both there is beautiful button tufting with upholstery material that is an antique white color polyester blend. It is a fair amount of work to assemble the bed so you definitely need 2-3 people to get it accomplished. You will need a box spring and mattress for this set. There is an 8” clearance under the bed. The overall weight capacity is 650 lb. for the king size bed. The Headboard is 88.98” W x 89.25” L and the Footboard height is 30.24”. The overall height is 75.6” and it weighs 220 lbs. The footboard had a scrape and 2 areas lacking in paint. So Wayfair offered to replace it or give a 20% discount. They are very good with their customer service! All right so to start off, the bedframe is really big so if you get the kids size, you should probably think about getting the mattress first just because it might seem really big on the kids size. Now if you get the adult size that’s fine. Everyone can get whatever size they want but the adult size frame is gonna be probably pretty big. If I would think of it now the kids size is pretty big and my mattress does leave a little bit of space as you can see in the photos, but if you do get the adult size that is totally fine. Just thinking about getting the mattress first is a great opportunity. All right, so let’s move onto the drawers in the front if you have like all the cabinets and the drawers and whatever you put your stuff in take it up, then I think that this little space in the front right here is the best place to put it, and if you don’t put anything in there that’s fine, but you can if you want, if there is no space in your cabinet drawers. All right, so let’s move onto the final thing if you do want curtains, just be warned that they might not come with those if you want bows then make sure that you get them. Now, that is not a pretty big warning, but some people take it pretty seriously just because they don’t want anything getting in the way of their face so they’re they block out the curtains to look. I say it would look pretty nice, like I would think it looks pretty nice without the bows. It’s pretty cute too, just when you go inside it’s not that cute but when you lay down inside and your warm breath fills it up like if you don’t have the bows, it fills it up and then you get a really warm feeling inside the curtains so yeah I think that is my favorite reason why I got this bed.
