These are surprisingly really nice. I prefer zipper closures usually, but this is an envelope closure. However, it’s very deep so the pillow will stay completely covered. It washed pretty nice. I needed two brown king pillow shams and these were a great find. They are light weight. The ruffle detail is nice. I like that the pillow insert is at the top of the sham and not in the middle of the sham. The quality is decent. I don’t think the shams are super soft but they are not rough either. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with a straight edge with a flange. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric.
