I saw a lot of mixed reviews mentioning misaligned drawers and bad pre-drilled holes, but that wasnt my experience at all. While assembly was definitely time-consuming and tedious, it was pretty straightforward, and everything aligned perfectly for me. The kit does come with a Phillips head screwdriver, but like most pre-packed furniture tools, the handle isnt very comfortable. If you dont have a nicer screwdriver already, Id recommend getting one because your hand will hurt after driving so many screws. I used a cordless screwdriver, which made driving screws into the areas without pre-drilled holes a lot easier, though you could definitely manage without one. The color and dimensions are 100 accurate to the product description online. However, as other reviews have noted, the drawers are on the shallow side. More importantly, the drawer slides are set up so the drawers do not pull out all the way. There is a good 4 to 5 inches per drawer that stays inside the unit when fully opened. I think this is probably a safety feature to prevent tipping, and for my needs—storing clothing like sweatshirts and sweatpants—it really doesnt matter. That said, I would not recommend this unit if you want to store something like craft supplies, as reaching smaller items out of the back of the drawers would get annoying. The drawers do feel a little bit flimsy and loose when pulling them in and out, which is where its most obvious that this is a flat-pack piece of furniture. However, I was able to fit them together easily, they are perfectly aligned, and they stay on their tracks without any issues. It had 1,000 pieces and 1,000 steps to put it together, but it was pretty easy - just time consuming. It’s quite sturdy feeling and looks great. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism that keeps only one drawer open at a time is kind of loud and clanky. We are so happy with this dresser and changing table! It’s one of those nursery pieces that is both beautiful and incredibly practical, and I love that it’s designed to grow with your child rather than being something you’ll only use for a short period of time. The changing topper is such a convenient feature. Having the changing area securely positioned right on top of the dresser makes everything so much easier and keeps all of the baby essentials within easy reach. It saves space in the nursery while still giving us a dedicated changing station, which is especially helpful when you’re trying to make the most of the room. One of my favourite things about this dresser is that the changing topper is removable. Once our baby outgrows the changing stage, we can simply take it off and continue using the piece as a beautiful dresser. I really appreciate not having to buy an entirely separate changing table that we’ll eventually stop using. It feels like a much more practical long-term investment because the dresser can transition with our child. The Hazelnut finish is beautiful and looks even nicer in person. It has a warm, classic look that works so well in a nursery without feeling overly “babyish,” so I can easily see us continuing to use it for years as our child grows. The overall design feels simple, timeless, and very well made. The drawers are another highlight. They feel sturdy and smooth, and I really like the safety interlocking drawer design, because it helps prevent multiple floors from being opened at the same time. Dresser is great and was easy to put together all by myself. It did take a little longer than the 30 minutes the instructions said but probably could have been done if I had a second person.
