These tables were perfect for our new couch which ws a bit larger than we wanted for our good-sized living room. We needed small end tables that went with the rest of the walnut furnishings. Natural wood was the answer and I stained and varnished them. They are well made and just the right size. Just finished assembling both of them and they look great! Not sure why they are called "narrow" when they are square! Easy directions, even for a 60+ year old woman. My only disappointment is the artificial textured "grain" that is on the topside and legs, but the underside was left smooth and I like that look a lot better.
