The bed is very solid and instructions are easy to follow. I will say though, it was a 2 person job for us and we are well versed in putting furniture together. We also needed a heavy mallet and a lot of patience while we pounded the back support together. We thought that the whole idea of "Japanese Joinery" meant the pieces just slide right in together which was definitely not the case. It feels solid and doesn't wiggle or move around. I'm hoping that it will be a great solid bed that will last us years. The color is beautiful-- a nice walnut color that complements our earthy tone theme beautifully.
