The instructions were just pictures and while some were expanded pictures, very difficult to figure out some areas. This island is beautiful and great quality at a decent price. Is just what i needed for my studio apartment and provides me extra storage and counter space. Instructions were overall clear. Was not difficult to build but it did take me about 6 hours to put together because I did it alone. Would have been much easier if I had another pair of hands helping. Very happy with my Pilarcitos Kitchen Island! It was pretty easy to put together, only needed my hubby to hold the frame while I added the two end pieces then at the end when we needed to flip it right side up.
