This is a beautiful fixture, highly recommend. We're using it above our rectangular dining room table. The wood is light and the matte brass is a very nice, subdued tone. It's much less yellow than many brushed brass fixtures (which I like); but be aware if you're trying to match any existing finishes. This light looks really nice in our “mountain modern” house. The wood drum was a perfect match for our decor and was of good quality. For the price, though, I expected high quality electrical and metal components. The metal pieces going up from the drum weren’t sized quite correctly and are slightly bowed to align with the predrilled holes. The wiring was also twisted and kinked where it was threaded through the pole and chain and took a lot of work to straighten out, so I’m only giving it 4 stars instead of 5.. Christopher. Denver, CO. Very happy with the design and quality of the fixture, and it provides just the right amount of light over my dining table. However I was disappointed to find there were only two vertical rods included. One is 12" and the other is 6" providing only 18" of length from the ceiling. My own fault for not reviewing the specifications more thoroughly, but it seems like an insufficient amount for many installations, including mine.
