I had purchased this as a companion to our new Post and Porch Large Malone mailbox and unfortunately will be returning this. The post finish is quite shiny with a slightly pebbled texture while the post and porch finish is quite matte. Also, the attachment is a "univeral" plate which does not fit the larger square spacing of the post and porch Malone box. If you don't mind the shine and are looking to fit a "universal" box, this could be a good product that is well made and ships quickly. I gave it a 3 star due to the lack of adequate information provided that could have saved me time and shipping fees had I been able to see that the attachment would not work.
