These brackets look great, paint up well (I got the primed only), and seem sturdy enough right now. But the last ones I bought - very similar design - I had custom made and the welds were definitely much more beefy and solid all the way around on those. These brackets appear to have just 2 tack welds where the curved part of the bracket meets each flat plate. We'll see if they hold up. They are not loose in any way though.. Nancy. Also, the attachment is a "univeral" plate which does not fit the larger square spacing of the post and porch Malone box. If you don't mind the shine and are looking to fit a "universal" box, this could be a good product that is well made and ships quickly. I gave it a 3 star due to the lack of adequate information provided that could have saved me time and shipping fees had I been able to see that the attachment would not work.
