I am very happy with these Roman shades. I purchased a size that matches the width and length of the window frame because I think this looks best, however, if you would like full blackout, it would be best to purchase a size slightly bigger than your window or window frame. The fabric is thick and neutral and I’ve noticed that within a few weeks after installation, the wrinkles have disappeared. I really like these shades but the reason I took off a star is that the shade isn’t very smooth if you want to use the top down option. It seems really sturdy but awkward to use this way.. Janel. These were not hard to install, I watched a video. I really recommend a video, it makes the directions make sense. Getting it level is the hard part. Drilling the screws in was probably the harder part. The shades came the exact size I measured, kudos to the person who cuts them to size.
