The latches are some of my favorite latches on any cooler that I have used. They are easy to open and close with just two fingers. Making the design far more attractive than most other cooler high end cooler brands. I feel that the size of the cooler fits in a sweet spot of not being too big or small. It is the perfect size for a multiple day camping trip for a few people. The ice retention is pretty solid; the cooler held 30 pounds of ice for roughly 5 days in 95+ degree heat. As far as complaints with the cooler I don't have many. I am not fond of the new rubber handles once the cooler is loaded with ice and drinks it is not comfortable to hold. I have had another lifetime cooler in the past and it has hard plastic handles that were much more comfortable to use when carrying a full cooler. The next complaint isn't really much of a complaint but more of a wish. It would be nice if the cooler came with a pressure relief valve for when traveling to high elevations.. Mason211. We took a road trip from PA to SC last week, and I followed the pre chilling suggestions (set both sections to -4° for a minimum of 3-4 hours before filling) from the reviews.. I adjusted one section to 34° after I filled the refrigerated food while leaving the the frozen food set to -4°. I did add a few freezer blocks to the tops of both sections before we closed the lids. On the trip down we stayed overnight in a hotel halfway to SC.. To my delight our food was in perfect condition when we unpacked it!! I was holding off on reviewing this one until we had a chance to use it. With big brands out there competing for who can keep things the coldest, I have to say Im actually impressed by how well it worked. Its also a Gods send on my back! The little features like side shelves, internal shelves for making drinks, bottle opener etc are fantastic! I also really loved the ability to split the cooler in half with a divider panel. It allowed me to organize which drinks were kid friendly and which were not. The design is modern and it was very easy to assemble. My only critique is everyone who approached this initially was confused on how to open it (center front there are two indentations near the middle for your fingers to lift the top covers) and kept ripping the front bar off.
