Best purchase from Wayfair!! A hose from the propane tank to the heater is not needed. We used it in the garage while we work on our cars or to play games. Can be used with the garage door closed. This heater can put out some heat!! I set mine at 60 degrees and it stays 70-80 degrees in my well insulated small home. It is NOT a wall insert - it mounts in the floor- I purchased it to mount on the wall and then had to call Wayfair because it does not mount on the wall as advertised.
