This TV console seems sturdy, has good storage, and is the perfect size. Yes, it is a laminate over particle board, but the finish looks nice. I think it’s a good value for the price. It does take a little while to assemble, but it wasn’t bad. My advice to anyone else is to make sure you put a level on it and use your leg adjusters to get it perfectly level before you put the back on to make sure you build it square. That may be why I saw some reviewers saying they couldn’t get the doors quite right. I will say the handles that came with the unit were not a good color. They were practically orange, not champagne bronze-ish like I thought from the photos on the website. We purchased three oak cabinets to make a buffet. All came in perfect shape due to excellent packaging. Instructions are easy to follow pictures, but we found that putting hinges on panels 2 and 3, right from the start made it easier to put doors on at the end, since it’s hard to screw on when everything is put together. The trick at the end is to make sure the hinges are in closed position then place door holes over hinge, as if the door was completely closed. Then slowly open the door and the hinge will be in correct position to screw the remaining screws on door backside. Also double check that panel 5 is in correct position with locking mechanism near panel 4, otherwise you will have the holes of the mechanism on the top side of the shelf when finished and will have to use oak stickers to cover up the silver hardware. I feel like you can’t get any better for the price! To me, it looks high quality but it’s just particle board. The door hardware is really cheap plastic so I’ll probably replace those. The door hinges are adjustable but we couldn’t really decrease the spaces you can see between the doors, maybe it’s an us problem though. I would have liked soft close cabinets but again overall for the price I am really very happy and impressed.
