Our luxurious bedspread is part of our collection of bedspreads, perfectly complementing most of our silk-plain bedlinen collections. The stitching is extremely soft and gives the comforter a quilted, decadent, and luxurious look.

This is a very substantial coverlet. It’s gorgeous but it is definitely a mild raspberry color. It’s fine with my bedding but if you want a more sand/cream this won’t do. I have the Elsa Grey Matelasse Coverlet as well as the Lodi Silver Matelasse Coverlet. I love them both, and they look great together, but the Elsa is my favorite because it’s more flexible and softer than the Lodi which is slightly more stiff. The Elsa has 2 distinct layers of fabric and feels warmer making it a better choice in winter. The one drawback to the Elsa is that the embroidered designs sometimes get snagged. A large Jacobean floral design graces our Chelsea matelasse fabric, for an addition of traditional elegance to any bedroom.

A beautiful piece. Know that the length works IF you don't tuck in the spread under pillows. Width is not sufficient to cover both sides equally to the floor. This could be a function of our king mattress being tall, however. The width is not a problem, however, since only one side of the bed faces the entrance to the bedroom. Color: We got the gold/burgundy. Gold is the operative word, and in certain light, the color is more like a paper bag. In retrospect, we should have chosen the off-white or the brown. To get more variation in the color and to see a little of the burgundy, I flipped the spread on upside down. Now, I can see more variation in the color and a LITTLE of the burgundy.
