I got this 6 pack of dinner plates so that I could check out the colors, design and just get a feel for the quality, BEFORE I commit to purchasing the set. I am happy to report that they are gorgeous!! They have a nice weight, colors are vibrant and shiny. The swirled design really looks nice. This appetizer plate is built for modern-day living's pretty botanical illustrations belie its strength and durability and its chip-resistant glaze.

It stacked 6 pieces and put them in a paper box. It was shipped well without damage. Of course, I checked it was made in England. There were three bubbles on this plate more than on the Portmeirion, but its not a characteristic of a ceramic bowl.
