I absolutely love this Murphy bed! It’s high-quality and comes with very clear instructions. Based on other reviews, I knew it would be a time-consuming project, and it ended up taking me two days to assemble, about 10 hours in total. The trickiest part was mounting it to the wall. The instructions state it should only be mounted to concrete, but since my house isn't concrete, we had to adapt: we bolted 2x4s into the wall studs wherever there were mounting brackets, and then bolted the bed frame to the 2x4s. You can see one of the 2x4s in the second picture. Securely anchored in eight places, it’s rock-solid and isn't going anywhere. I plan to add paneling later to hide the 2x4 support board. We are extremely happy with how this looks in our TV room, and the addition of subtle lighting really highlights its beauty. I highly recommend this sturdy piece of furniture!. Lisa. Mckinney, TX. Functional but definitely doesn’t look like the pictures. Issues with wood cracking when putting together the base of the bed. Screws holding the front on are slightly too long or screw holes don’t grip the wood so there’s gaps in the decorative front.
