Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. The cross stitching is not a true white which was less stark in contrast and worked well for me. - The foot rest height is good for me ( average height woman) and when the seats are all the way 6 foot people can put their feet on the ground, which they like.
