It was SUPER easy to put together. It had the same screws basically for everything, so it was hard to mess up. It does come in a lot of pieces, however, the slats will come in the smaller box that gets delivered which is nice. It took me about 1.5 hours with help. The tracking of the shipment was also super convenient and accurate. I was thrown off with the staircase handrail, it’s not very kid friendly to hold onto because it’s low. It does squeak a little bit when my girls climb the stairs, and can sway easy. That’s the only reason I took a star away. Otherwise it is perfect for my 2 and 3 year old to share!. Katie. Amazing bed!! Putting it together definitely requires two people but it has very straightforward instructions. At a 140lbs I was able to climb on it and the bed was extremely sturdy. The bed is beautiful and looks just like the pictures. It even came with foam extras to keep kiddos from getting bumps and lights which made a little party underneath and an app to control them!!! This bed has suited our family's needs well, so far. It seems pretty sturdy, isn't too high so I'm not concerned when my 3 year old climbs up. My 5 year old is on the lower bunk and can sit up without hitting her head. The slats on the bottom bunk allow the mattress to be elevated off of the floor. The reason I gave it 4 stars was for assembly. While I found the directions clear, there were two items mislabeled and I did not realize until I was halfway through construction. I had to completely disassemble to fix the issue. So I would recommend double checking the hole placements in the photos along with the labels on each piece to confirm that you are using the correct piece at each step. Another issue that I had was one screw broke during assembly, another has broken off since, and there was 1 screw missing. The bed turned out in the end and we're happy with it. This bunk bed exceeds my expectations! Everything was included in the package, and the installation took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. My husband was able to complete it almost all by himself, with only needing the lend a helping hand occasionally. The pieces are nicely sanded and finished. It does smell like wood stain, but that will disappate over time. I’m so glad it is real wood as described vs the cheap MDF stuff. My only complaint is that the description states the guardrail is 17”, but really it is only about 12”. Beds are very nice, but a lot larger in person than they look in the picture. The picture must be in a large room. LOL My granddaughter lives in a mobile home so the rooms aren't that large and this bed takes up most of the room, but the beds are what we needed so it's ok. Just be aware that this set is large. One issue we found is the mattresses we have for both beds are very thick so for the top bunk, we are going to have to get an extra bed rail so my grandson does not roll off the bed as the mattress comes right to the top of the rail on the bed. The beds are nice though and quite sturdy. One BIG issue I had was I paid extra (thru the Wayfair order) for a "pro" from Angi's to come assemble the beds and that turned out to be a total disaster and after the "pro" being rescheduled 3 times, we just cancelled the assembly order and found someone local to put the bed set together. So I would definitely recommend NOT paying extra to have an Angi pro come assemble anything. Their system is flawed big time and a total waste of your money. We live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia which is a very large area, so the fact that they couldn't find a "pro" to assemble the beds is strange!! This product is really nice! Everything seems really sturdy and all the wood pieces fit nicely together, except for one stairs bar which won’t tighten fully and therefore is a little wobbly (I’ll be contacting the seller to hopefully get a replacement piece.)
