Overall what I was looking for. It was missing some of the screws but I expected that after reading the reviews. I also let it air out as it smelled very much like unfinished wood. Although I didn’t need to sand it, there were some splintery areas (easy fix though). I used my own screwdriver as the one they provided was child-sized (still worked just not for my hands). We are upgrading our 3 year old from her crib to a bed finally and this is an excellent choice. I love the design so she is proximal to the ground but still has “sides” to it so it isn’t super different from her crib to start. It is good quality and as expected to assemble. Love the look of the bed, and easy to assemble. As long as your kids decide not to hang or climb the frame, you should be ok. The cutoff in the fabric is cool, but unsure how to secure it and have it stay in place without sewing additional ties/loops, or maybe velcro. To be fair, this could be caused by the way we attached the fabric, unsure. But the picture helps indicate that the flap doesn't reach, allowing it to sway. The lights add nice ambiance, but for us, because the bed is flush against the wall covering the outlet, a slim profile adapter that had the plug for the lights facing down would have been preferred. Also, I am unsure if there is a switch for the lights (couldn't find one), forcing you to unplug them each time. We chose to use an old external battery with an on/off button, but a smart plug would solve this issue. We purchased a Nectar children's mattress that fits perfectly.
