1. All the washers and metal plates were corroded, however, the bolts themselves seem ok. I made a trip to the hardware store to get replacement washers. I also cleaned up the metal plates with isopropyl alcohol as much as I could just so that not too much of the corrosion gets on the mattress and sheets. I kept wiping with isopropyl alcohol-soaked towels until I no longer saw any corrosion residue coming off.

2. The screws inside the rounded corners by the head board were difficult to screw in due to the tight curved space. I had to go dig out a very short screw driver from my tool box. I guess I should have expected this due to the curved design, but I thought I should point that out.

3. One corner of the foot board was a struggle to attach to the side board due to some sort of misalignment, either the brackets are offset too far or the pre-drilled hole is too far. It took a lot of muscle to force the two pieces to line up just enough to force the screw in. It does appear to have a larger gap between the two boards at this corner than the other corner that had no issues, but it's not too bad once assembled.

4. One corner of the foot board had about a 2 x 3-inch area that didn't get enough batting/filling so it looks slightly flatter than the rest of the bed frame, but again, not a huge deal, since it will mostly be covered up by bed sheets.

6. The linen covering the curved portion on the head board appears to be under stretched tension, but not sure if it is really avoidable due to the design. At least it's no too visible from a distance.

7. The foot board doesn't have good support for the mattress so I sink in a little bit more sitting there compared to sitting at the left or right side, but not a huge deal.

8. There were 4 small spots that had either some dirt or corrosion residue on them, but they wiped away cleanly, just something to look out for when buying white linen furniture.

Despite all the cons I listed, I still like this bed frame, I just wished there wasn't so much corrosion on the metal hardware, which made me feel like I shouldn't have paid full price for it.. Anonymous. Wed Nov 13 2024
