The only reason I didn’t give this bed all five stars is because it appears to be about three inches shorter than our other daybed, and because of this, the mattress I bought for it is too long. Not a huge deal for us as the mattress on the other daybed is too short for it by the same length, so we will just switch mattresses and all should be well. Otherwise, we really like the style and hope that it is as sturdy and long-lasting as the one in our den, which is now 13 years old and as good as the day we brought it home. Something I like about this daybed is the raised back in the center, which will give people support if they choose to sit sideways on it; also, it will accommodate a taller pillow. This, and the finish, were the main reasons I chose it. It’s in the room, but the room is not finished, so it has yet to be fully “dressed” and tried out; but, I don’t foresee any issues and am excited to have it as part of that room’s renovation.. Susan. The bed itself is great, and 90% of it is well constructed and easy to assemble. Then, unfortunately, there are a couple of problems. One, you absolutely need a drill to get the wheels on the trundle. No pilot holes, and it is impossible to screw them in without, no matter what the instructions say. Two, the instructions are wrong (upside down, really) in one spot about the assembly of the facade on the trundle. When you follow the instructions, it will not fit under the bed.
