We love this tv cabinet. It wasn't that hard to put together as some other customers have mentioned. We did find a few places when putting on the top, the dowls would not line up with the holes so we had skip using them. The color of the cabinet is a bit darker than the picture, but I know all pieces are unique in color. There were 4 places we had scratches and 1 chip, but instead of sending it back or requesting new pieces, WF adjusted the price for us and made it right. Overall, this is a cool piece of furniture and looks great in our living room up against our WF washable area rug. Beautiful high quality piece of furniture. The TV stand is hard wood (not MDF), very sturdy, and a lovely walnut color (as pictured online). Fits in perfectly with our decor. However, there was a major problem with the right side panel. The drill holes and recesses for the hinges were off by at least an inch. Thanks to my husband’s expert carpentry skills, he was able to create a workable solution. Otherwise, it would have required disassembling and waiting for a replacement side panel. This defect caused much frustration and interior “hacking” of an otherwise beautiful piece of furniture. Not happy with this major oversight on the part of the manufacturer. We got this on sale and it makes me wonder if Wayfair reserves defective furniture like this for their sale items, since most reviewers don’t mention defective pieces.. Carla E. Maryland. This TV console seems sturdy, has good storage, and is the perfect size. Yes, it is a laminate over particle board, but the finish looks nice. I think it’s a good value for the price. It does take a little while to assemble, but it wasn’t bad. My advice to anyone else is to make sure you put a level on it and use your leg adjusters to get it perfectly level before you put the back on to make sure you build it square. That may be why I saw some reviewers saying they couldn’t get the doors quite right. I will say the handles that came with the unit were not a good color. They were practically orange, not champagne bronze-ish like I thought from the photos on the website. This looks good, not cheap particle board. However, I can't give 5 stars because it is so cheaply made. I don't think it's obvious unless you've assembled it. The metal is so thin- two pieces were warped from shipping . The wood is super lightweight pine. You can carve in it with a fingernail. There are already several scuffs on it before assembly. The instructions are poor. We had to take apart and put back together several times because key details were not included. Also, it shows the last step is installing glass doors, but that's impossible to do with the top piece on so I had to take it off to put doors on. There drawer has no rail or fittings , so it doesn't close all the way. In all it's better than mdf , but not worth the $ and I have serious doubts it will hold up long without scratches .. Milo.
