We needed the biggest sofa sleeper we could get for a very narrow room and this one worked with our measurements. I was a bit nervous ordering it without trying it first but am really happy with it! As a sofa, it is super sink-in comfy. We haven't slept on the sleeper yet but we did try it out and it seems great. We didn't realize until it arrived but the sleeper is meant to slept on between the sofa arms, rather than from the back out, like traditional sofa sleepers. Regardless, we did have a sense going in that this won't be great for our taller guests but it still works for us. We ordered this in Dorset Cherry Performance Chenille and we love it. This is a great oversized, fold out arm chair. It is comfortable to sit in, and the bed (I ordered the upgraded mattress option) is comfortable enough that my 9 year old often chooses it over a standard bedmattress. My one disappointment is the fabric and sewing is low quality. I will eventually have it recovered in a performance fabric and having piping added. I'm reviewing this after 4.5 years! The sofa is still in great condition. My parents sleep on it whenever they come over which is quite often and love its durability. I do have an extra soft topper on top of it but you don't feel the bar of the bed at all. I plan to buy another one now for another room. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because it's a little on the hard side for cushioning and i prefer more of a soft cushion for watching TV. However, we only use it for the sofa bed part. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Pull out the bed frame under the seat. There are two length options. When it is not fully pulled out, it becomes a chaise sofa, and when it is fully pulled out, this sofa can quickly turn into a Queen-size bed for resting. I bought this after much research, to fill a guest room alcove, so it needed to be comfortable enough for guests sleep on and to use as a cozy reading nook the rest of the time, and exact dimensions were important, as was color. I am thrilled with the sofa. The fabric is a soft velvet and the color is richer and darker than it appears on the website, so Ive taken several pics in different light and configurations. Id describe the color as a dark moss green. The dimensions were very accurate. It took a while to put together (an afternoon) and several of the pieces were fairly heavy, so challenging to drag up the stairs, but it was SO worth it. I had no problem fitting the pieces through a standard doorway. It is comfortable to sleep on and to curl up on with a book. If you get this sofa, I hope you love it as much as I do!. Ruth.
