I love it! I wanted a more modern and open bookshelf with storage, and my furniture taste has shifted to mid-century. This piece is excellent for my purpose and hides the "junky" stuff easily in the closed cabinet. Assembly was actually quite easy - even for a 71 year old! My only "change" to the provided instructions is attaching the shelves; it is much easier to lay the piece on it's back and screw in the 6 screws per shelf than it is to stand on your head and do it upside down! We purchased the white shelving with gold supports. The quality is very good, and the set up was pretty easy - it probably took my husband and I about an hour and a half to put together, there are just a lot of parts! I was surprised that handles are silver, and not gold - looking back at the listing, this is how they were shown, I just didn't notice. It's a shame, because every other visible finish, even on the fasteners, matches the gold supports. Our daughter hasn't commented on it, so hopefully it's not a big deal - if it is, we'll have to try to find replacement handles.
