These are nice sheets, they are definitely feeling as if they are 100 cotton. These are nice and lightweight sheets. They do seem a little in the thinthread bear side. Before I washed these sheets they felt softer. Almost like they might be a brushed cotton. Or Sateen. Now the sheets feel stiffer and crisp. Which isn’t a bad thing. I ordered the slate gray and they are definitely not gray if you're really looking for that color. They are a nice color of pale blue (see photos) and the sheets are soft and appear to be good quality. They had a strong odor upon opening the box but once washed they are fine. Yes, they are expensive and worth every penny! I'm not sure WHY the title has the word "Sateen" in the description. These are the same SUPERIOR brand sheets I have purchased for 12-15 years and they are 100% Egyptian Cotton and sturdy not thin like many of sateen sheets are. These sheets feel great and stay put!! Amazing deep pockets! I have extra padding on top of my mattress and most fitted sheets slip off at night, to my endless aggravation. These sheets are amazing. They are 100% cotton and fit my extra tall mattress without moving or shifting through the night and being 100% cotton are breathable. For those that say they are 'stiff' that is what percale sheets are, a nice crisp cotton sheet. This isn't my first set of percale cotton and over time through washing and adding softener they will soften but who doesn't love slipping into a nice crisp set of sheets at the end of a hard day?.
