I absolutely love this chair. It was one of those purchases I hoped would look good online, but it’s even better in person. It immediately elevated the room and looks far more expensive than it actually is. The first thing I noticed was how substantial it feels. This isn’t one of those lightweight accent chairs that slides across the floor every time you sit down. It’s heavy, solid, and feels extremely well made. Once it’s in place, it stays put. The wood legs and frame are sturdy, and everything feels well constructed with no wobbling or creaking. Comfort was another pleasant surprise. Accent chairs often sacrifice comfort for style, but this one manages to deliver both. The seat cushion is supportive without being overly firm, the back provides great support, and the angled arms are comfortable whether you’re reading, visiting with friends, or just relaxing for a while. I’ve found myself choosing this chair over the couch more than once. Delivery did take longer than expected, so if you’re ordering it, plan to be patient. That said, it was worth the wait. White glove delivery and placement were included, which made the experience so much easier. I didn’t have to wrestle with a heavy box or figure out assembly on my own. They brought it inside, placed it exactly where I wanted it, and that alone was a huge bonus. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The chair itself I like, it’s sturdy and make of heavy real wood. The chair is pretty comfortable though the quality of the cushions I don’t believe would hold up to long term use. This is in our basement so I think it will be fine for here and there. Why 4 stars The assembly was terrible. The instructions were not clear. They need to provide different Allen wrench, lucky got me my husband had a tool that helped or I was so frustrated. So get yourself the auto retract took or this will take forever to assemble due to the way the holes are set. Also note there should be another step they combined two and it was confusing to the point I had to take part off and redo. It does sit lower for a living room chair too so note that. This oversized chair was the perfect size for my alcove and the color is nice and neutral. The one bracket was a little bent but fixed easily with a mallet. Some of the cushions were packed inside the back part of the chair and were hard to pull out. A screw needed to be removed before pulling the cushions otherwise it wouldve torn the fabric pulling it out. I wish there was a fabric flap that could be attached to cover up the space where the cushions were packed because I imagine dirt and debris are going to get caught up inside. First, the Good the chair looks great and is a fantastic option for a small room. The bottom cushion is soft and supports me at a 200 pounds. I love the fold out side table on the right. The mechanism is solid and very stable. It’s easy to put together, and is solidly built. The not so good it’s small. It does not sit that high off the ground so make sure you look at the measurements before purchasing. I am 6’2” and my knees bend up as the seat is lower than a traditional chair. Also, I’ve tried my best to love it as it does look good in the space, but it’s just not a comfortable chair. The back does not have a lot of padding and is very stiff. The armrest are more narrow than my wrist so you can’t put anything on it. I think if this is a chair to put in a small space, and will not be used often, then this is a perfect buy.
