File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom. This is an awesome purchase. Very sturdy. Wheels are sturdy and work as expected. I love everything about the finished cabinet. I removed a star because it took almost 3 hours to put together, and that was an experienced handyman that did it. He said it was very involved. He also said the directions were good, just a lot of pieces and had to be done in a specific order. I do think it was a great purchase but want others to know the challenge. Tangoafrica. Florida. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see.
