Final verdict 4stars...It does look great especially when lit and the light effect in/on the room is impressive. Our dining room is relatively small so the scale was perfect. Even unlit, it looks like a signature piece. BUT... a few notes: Difficult to hang - instructions were not particularly explanatory, so you need to have a knack for these things. HALOGEN lights - seems like a relic of a previous time. Apparently, there are LED G9 bulbs we can replace in due course NO LIGHTS INCLUDED - maybe petty, but for close to $1000, you would have expected bulbs included. This is a great-looking chandelier. I am happy with how it looks. I am giving it four stars because the mounting bracket is poorly designed. I have installed a number of ceiling fans and ceiling and wall lights. I am familiar with various mounting configurations. 1) The mounting bracket does not have a hole through which the wires would normally pass through. Instead, one has to feed the wires (hot, common, ground) through small holes normally used for mounting. 2) I attached the mounting bracket to a reinforced metal electrical box. The holes and slots in the mounting bracket did not match the screw holes in the electrical box. I had to drill new holes in the mounting bracket. 3) The screws that go between the mounting bracket and the base of the chandelier are held to the mounting bracket by tightening a threaded nut. If this nut comes loose, it becomes difficult to securely attach the base of the chandelier to the mounting bracket. I did get everything installed. It was just more difficult than it needed to me..
