There is no trundle that came with this set but we just slid an extra twin mattress underneath to fit our needs. There was also an error on packaging that did not include all of the correct pieces for the end boards. The bunk bed looks great all set up and feels sturdy! The stained finish looks great! I do think the beds are darker in person than what the picture shows but I like them! The set up went well. There were a couple of pieces that were not labeled but it was not difficult to determine which ones were which. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. Love the bed, sturdy and seems to be constructed well. I added the assembly and the two guys that showed up were very polite and courteous. They also got the job done in 2 hours. My only issue is when the guys (hired through Handyman) were putting it together some of the wood frame pieces were taped together. Beautiful! I did pay for assembly and one person came and assembled it by himself but it took a couple hours and I had to help lift the top bunk up. It’s pretty sturdy. Very nice piece for the price. New purchase and will have to follow up on durability however it seems sturdy thus far (first use was last night and no issues - I slept on lower with both kids). Giving 45 due to just one use thus far and that. Came in three boxes with only a tiny bit of damage on one of the trundle storage drawers. Was nice that it came with two sets of directions so that the two of us were both able to reference things at the same time. Not sure if we are extremely slow or if it’s because we were working in a 10x10 room but this took us over 3 hours to put together. There are a few parts in the directions that were a bit difficult to see the details on the photos or they just weren’t referenced and are super important later on - specifically the holes on the bottom piece of the ends to the full which is one of the first things you put together - needs to line up with the curve so that the ladder can be placed properly - also the that whole part in relation to the stoppers for the trundle so that you have the trundle and ladder in the correct places. The stoppers aren’t stained and do show when the bed is put together - not a dealbreaker but a bit annoying. Doesn’t come with spare parts so make sure you’ve got a box - does come with Allen keys but they aren’t in the first bag you use. We did a final tightening on everything once in place and is sturdy. The bed itself is great! We are using it for a 5 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old and its perfect. Assembly was straight forward The slide is a bit steep but my kids have gotten use to it and we take it off at night. Wayfair was a bit of a mess.
