Peace lily indoor house plant. With a relaxed name like peace lily, spathiphyllum is an easy-care, low-light, tropical houseplant, popular for its tall white calla-like flower spikes. It also filters indoor air and removes many airborne toxins, including formaldehyde and ammonia. Tolerates very low light levels, although, without some brightness from a window or a lamp, the plant is likely to inconsistently bloom. Long-lasting flower stalks are borne in spring and hover gracefully over the foliage. With the striking contrast of the dark green foliage and creamy white flowers held on stiff stems, it looks attractive in all types of homes and design schemes. A well-grown peace lily can bloom twice a year, resulting in several months of flower display.

I want to like this but I missed that it’s a LIVE plant. Now I must try and keep it alive. It does come in a temporary pot and has instructions to replant.. Anonymous. Wed Sep 02 2026

Bring elegance and tranquility into your home with the Peace Lily, a timeless indoor plant known for its graceful white blooms and rich green foliage. Its soft, refined appearance makes it a perfect addition to bedrooms, offices, or quiet living spaces where a calming atmosphere is desired. This plant blends beauty and simplicity, offering a clean and sophisticated look that complements any décor style. Ideal for both new and experienced plant owners, it remains a favorite for effortless indoor styling.

Overall I am extremely pleased with this Peace Lily. The plant arrived healthy, full, and much larger than I expected. It has dense foliage with numerous stems emerging from the base, giving it a mature and established appearance rather than looking sparse or newly potted. The leaves are deep green, glossy, and overall in excellent condition. The plant even arrived with a bloom, which was a nice bonus and an indication that it was actively growing before shipment. While there were a few minor cosmetic imperfections on some leaves, they appear to be normal shipping-related blemishes and do not affect the overall health or appearance of the plant. What impressed me most was the fullness of the plant. Many online plant listings use idealized photos, but this specimen closely matched the advertised size and density. It immediately made an impact in the room without needing time to "grow into" the space. Based on the condition, size, and overall quality, and the 2nd Peace Lily from Costa I will continue ordering this type of plant again. The plant arrived healthy, well-established, and ready to thrive with minimal acclimation.. Bryanna. US. Thu Jun 04 2026

Add a touch of the tropics to your favorite rooms with the lush beauty of a Peace Lily (botanically known as Spathiphyllum). One of the best flowering houseplants for indoor spaces, Peace Lily is relatively slow growing and doesn’t need any special pruning. Its big, lush leaves and white flowers make any room feel more inviting and comfortable. Keep your Peace Lily happy by growing it in bright, indirect light. Water this beautiful houseplant about once a week with approximately 1 cup, ensuring excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let your Peace Lily sit in water or saturated soil. If you’d like to boost growth and flowering in spring and summer, feed this flowering houseplant with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the products instructions. Should your Peace Lily outgrow its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it one that’s 2 to 4 inches wider. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Though we grow it as a houseplant, it is hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 9b-11. Because of its lush look and charming white flowers, Peace Lily is a fantastic choice for both beginners and plant enthusiasts looking to decorate their home with greenery. Enjoy it in living rooms, dens, and bedrooms. A long-lived flowering houseplant, it makes for a thoughtful housewarming present, thank you gift, or just to show someone you’re thinking about them.

The huge, beautiful plant arrived with brown tips after eleven days of a shipment ordeal courtesy of FedEx. FedEx picked up the package from the grower on July 3. The palm sat in Florida for a week before continuing to Idaho. I received it July 14. However aggravating shipping companies can be, the volume of the palm exceeded all expectations--it is gorgeous! I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before transplanting it to avoid stressing it further.. Sally. Boise, ID. Tue Jul 15 2025

Beautiful plant ,but the packaging was terrible . The box was broken soil every where in the box. I repotted the plant and she is just fine . But on the bottom of the pot when i took the plant out there were worms ugh. This plant after a few days I noticed the leaves were being eaten by bugs . Sprayed it and isolated the plant but no success. Do not buy this plant .. Camille. Wayne, NJ. Thu Sep 03 2026

Known for its lush, deep green foliage and striking white blooms, the Spathiphyllum Peace Lily is a perfect addition to any living space. Ideal for plant enthusiasts of all experience levels, this low-maintenance plant thrives in low light, making it a popular choice for offices, bedrooms, and shaded corners of your home. Whether you're looking to enhance your indoor décor or gift someone a meaningful housewarming or sympathy plant, the Peace Lily is a versatile and thoughtful choice that adds both beauty and function to any environment. The Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) also offers the flexibility of indoor and outdoor use. While it thrives as an indoor houseplant, in USDA Hardiness Zones 10-12, it can be planted outdoors year-round, adding tropical beauty to gardens and patios. In cooler climates, such as northern states, you can keep it outdoors in pots during warmer months, then bring it indoors when temperatures drop below 55°F (13°C) to protect it from the cold. This makes the Peace Lily ideal for creating a lush, vibrant patio or porch during spring and summer, while easily transitioning to an indoor centerpiece in colder months. In addition to its adaptability, the Peace Lily offers notable benefits to your home. It acts as a natural air purifier, helping to remove toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and ammonia from the air, improving overall air quality. Its graceful, white flowers provide a stunning contrast to its deep green leaves, bringing a peaceful, elegant aesthetic to any room or outdoor setting. Caring for the Peace Lily is simple: water it when the top inch of soil feels dry, and avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch its leaves. Although toxic to pets if ingested, you can keep it in elevated or inaccessible areas to ensure your household stays safe. Whether enhancing your indoor atmosphere, adding life to a shaded patio, or offering it as a meaningful gift, the Peace Lily is a timeless plant that brings beauty and tranquility wherever it grows.

Spathiphyllum is an easy care, low light houseplant. It also removes many toxins from indoor air including formaldehyde and ammonia. Peace Lily is a herbaceous perennial typically grown as a houseplant. It is popular as a specimen or accent in interior groupings for its deep-green glossy foliage and white blooms that are intermittent in medium lighting and long-lasting. The plant has no specific bloom time, but flowers freely and tolerates heavy shade. The Peace Lily does best indoors in moist, but not soggy, soil. You should allow the soil to dry between waterings, but not wilt, which causes the leaves to yellow. Spathiphyllum grow very well with sub-irrigation and also do well in lower light situations, but prefer bright filtered light. Do not place the plant in direct sun. Fertilize Spathiphyllum at one quarter of the recommended strength.
