These shelves are beautiful wood and are pretty deep. I love the color as well. I wanted something to put plants on and they are solid holding a lot of weight. I had a bit of trouble putting them up because the studs in my wall weren't spaced right they were to far apart to hit two studs. I ended up using one stud and 4 drywall anchors. It is a very nice shelf but I thought it would be 12” deep for the entire length of the shelf and there is just the middle spot that maybe reach 12” the other part of the shelf are around 8-9” at the most. While finding these natural items is rare it can take sometimes up to a week of work simply to move them from these distant lands to where they can be processed and exported to America. Teak is a beautiful species of wood for its grain and color but it is also favored for use outdoors.
