Update: They still love the bed, and I thought i'd add a picture. The wood is more like a rustic whitewash. It doesn't look as well as the picture and who ever shipped it, left it in the rain. The box was falling apart, and luckily I found it and took every piece in by hand, and dried them off. No damage done, but It was unnecessary to leave it like that in the rain when they could have left it next door at my parent's who have an over covering on their porch. Both DIL and granddaughter got on top bunk. It felt sturdy and didn't move around. We did get a bunky board for top because mattress is foam. The girls love it and are having fun putting their dolls and stuffys around. Very unhappy with delivery. Boxes falling apart. Fed ex stood one up at bottom of deck stairs. We are having g sporadic thunder storms. No plastic was place around packages, so the box fell apart and all the wooden pieces fell and were rained on. I had a mess! I had to remove one piece at a time into home and dry it off. It took a couple people a few hours dealing with two wet opened boxes. The bed was poorly packaged and fed ex left a mess! Beds are very nice, but a lot larger in person than they look in the picture. The picture must be in a large room. LOL My granddaughter lives in a mobile home so the rooms aren't that large and this bed takes up most of the room, but the beds are what we needed so it's ok. Just be aware that this set is large. One issue we found is the mattresses we have for both beds are very thick so for the top bunk, we are going to have to get an extra bed rail so my grandson does not roll off the bed as the mattress comes right to the top of the rail on the bed. The beds are nice though and quite sturdy. One BIG issue I had was I paid extra (thru the Wayfair order) for a "pro" from Angi's to come assemble the beds and that turned out to be a total disaster and after the "pro" being rescheduled 3 times, we just cancelled the assembly order and found someone local to put the bed set together. So I would definitely recommend NOT paying extra to have an Angi pro come assemble anything. Their system is flawed big time and a total waste of your money. We live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia which is a very large area, so the fact that they couldn't find a "pro" to assemble the beds is strange!!
