The instructions were excellent, and I was genuinely impressed with how well engineered every piece was. There are a lot of parts, though—it took me about six hours to assemble. I couldn’t be happier with these bookcases. They look beautiful, feel sturdy once assembled, and offer a surprising amount of storage. The combination of open shelving, drawers, and cabinet space makes them both functional and attractive. Assembly is definitely a two-person job and is a bit involved. Our first bookcase took about four hours to assemble, but by the time we built the second one, we’d learned the process and finished it in under three hours. One tip for future buyers the instructions have you attach the hinges to the cabinet doors first and then install them after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to attach the hinge hardware to the cabinet frame before installing the top panel, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it’s much easier than trying to work in a cramped space with tiny screws. Overall, these bookcases exceeded my expectations. The holes for the wine glass rack seem to be drilled in the wrong spot, so that the door mounted bottle rack bumps into your wine glasses when shutting the door. It wasn't difficult to assemble but did take about 6.5 hours to complete with one person, and while it came with a small screwdriver, I would highly recommend just using your own larger screwdriver, if you have it, to spare your fingers.. Beautiful cabinet. The wood finish is beautiful and has a rich color that looks even better in person. It has a lot of storage space with drawers, cabinets, shelves, and a wine rack, so it works great as a bar cabinet, coffee station, or dining room piece. One thing to know before buying is that assembly takes time. There are a lot of pieces and parts to put together. My husband built it by himself, and it took him about two days to complete. I couldn’t be happier with these bookcases. They look beautiful, feel sturdy once assembled, and offer a surprising amount of storage. The combination of open shelving, drawers, and cabinet space makes them both functional and attractive. Assembly is definitely a two-person job and is a bit involved. Our first bookcase took about four hours to assemble, but by the time we built the second one, we’d learned the process and finished it in under three hours. One tip for future buyers the instructions have you attach the hinges to the cabinet doors first and then install them after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to attach the hinge hardware to the cabinet frame before installing the top panel, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it’s much easier than trying to work in a cramped space with tiny screws. Overall, these bookcases exceeded my expectations.
