This is a high-quality Japanese joinery bed frame. It relies entirely on amazing wood-on-wood tension rather than metal fasteners, nails, or glue. I like the solid hardwood construction. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. Assembly takes me about 20 minutes by simply following the instructions and interlocking the components in sequence. The precision wood-on-wood joinery eliminates creaking entirely. We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base.
