They arrived flat, and you fold them into shape. They are a thick cardboard and there is an attached tape piece that you use to stick the final piece in place. I was thinking they would open and close and you could store things in them, but it’s not exactly that. You can open it from the bottom but you would have to shake out whatever you store in there.
