Given the size and weight of the box, this feels like an avoidable issue. The reclining mechanism is a bit stiff at first and can catch you off guard, but I expect that to improve with use. Overall, it’s an elegant chair that fits well with different decor styles. One heads-up: unpacking takes some effort. This chair is so awesome!!! It's been sitting in the box, now for about 4 weeks...but, now I am sitting in it. So very comfortable and the lumbar is just what I needed for my lower back!!
