It is a very pretty and sturdy bedframe. I took a star off because they were not pre-drilled holes for some screws and that was unclear in the directions. It took me one hour and and and 45 minutes to put it together as one person. Also two of the side pieces were the same so I had to unscrew the brackets and switch them so they would become opposite side frames. The platform bed arrived very quickly. The package was very heavy and needed two people to carry it. When opening, I found that everything was very well packaged protected, and labeled. The instructions made sense and the assembly was straightforward with only a few tools required. What I liked was that all of the pieces were legitimate wood, and not plywood, laminate, or plastic. The bed sits approx 9 off the ground and includes 12 Separate wood slats which serve as the support for the mattress. Its nice not needing the box spring, although one should be prepared for a lower overall bed. Ot works for us perfectly and it very sturdy. Love this bed! It was super easy to assemble. The side rails had hooks that slid into the head and foot boards, versus some cheaper quality beds that just use cam locks. Love that!
