I used this on my front porch and it held up perfectly all winter, even through rain, with no issues at all. It feels sturdy and well made, and the branches were easy to shape. This is a gorgeous blend of glam and organic parts. This chandelier arrives very well packaged but completely unassembled. Assembly will take 1 person about 2 hours-so not too bad. Instructions are minimal at best. Having said that, this chandelier is worth the effort. It is stunning with its long, shiny chrome central branch. The small branches are attached all around the main 'limb'. The crystal "leaves" are faceted and beautiful and come in a strand of 5 crystals, pre hung and ready to attach. Each strand is carefully packed in its own padded sleeve resulting in NO breakage. Attaching them to the branches is simple. I can't wait to have this installed...so very lovely. It wasnt just a plain spiral. It was narrow, fit perfectly in the space I had and, best of all, it was on sale. The tree normally sells for 350.
