These are very well made curtains and do darken the room against the sun. However, at the top, it requires a twist, then to bring a piece of material through the made loop and then make it look nice. I found this to be a bit complicated. In fact, I need to go back and redo one of the loops, as I made it backwards. I also wasn’t paying attention and purchased only one panel, so I needed to reorder a second one. It is not a set of curtains. It is sold by the panel. On a really tight budget and after lots of searching, I choose these. 52/72 and I needed light on weight rods are not the strongest and I'm not replacing at this time, but able to also black out. These are perfect for my LR windows. I ordered four panels. I needed something to block out the sun in the summer and cold now. I close the blinds but wanted additional blocking. I partially closed on panel for you to see the amount of light blocking/privacy. They have a rubber like backside. I put them in the dryer to remove the fold wrinkles before hanging. The slightly off white color blends beautifully with my light grey walls, old 2" blinds, and old white trim paint. For only fifty bucks, I couldn't go wrong!
