This bench was a very pleasant surprise. I wanted the William Yeoward, Jonathan Charles bench but at $1,900 I decided I would 'settle' for the Emmalee bench instead. I was SHOCKED to see its gorgeous quality and that it is identical to the more expensive one. The color I got says "natural" but as you can see in my photos it is not that; instead it is a beautiful brownish gray, much dressier than a natural finish. The size is identical to the more expensive one, and the construction is substantial, sturdy and very high quality. The cane seating is thick and sturdy. I have mixed feelings. It was super quick to assemble that isn’t where I shine Super lightweight. Not sure it’s solid wood given the weight of the bench being about 18 lbs. The product info says it has a weight capacity of 500 lbs but I would not feel comfortable placing that type of weight on the bench. I wouldn’t recommend more than 250 lbs of weight for safety. We wanted a bench for our entry way and this is just what we needed! Feels sturdy and decent quality for the price. I was a bit disappointed that the fabric color was darker than shown in the website photos, but doesn't bother us enough where we feel like we need to return. It's a darker beige/tan than lighter color. Bench top is firm, but not a bug deal since we don't anicipate people sitting on it for long.
