These are made of real wood, however, one of my shelves required me to stain it in areas where the original stain job was not the best. I happen to have stain that matched so it wasn’t a big deal. They were easy to mount and they gave you plenty of screws and anchors. They are pretty sturdy but the holes that the pegs slide into could be a bit smaller Which would reduce the slight wobble. Great shelf! Easy to install right into studs. One of the L-brackets was clearly less that 90° angle but it didn't actually make a difference. I hung it and everything is level. Color was accurate too. One thing to note: is is not a solid piece of wood. The one I received appears to be at least two pieces glued together. But, it was a pretty seamless joining so I am happy.. The shelves posed a problem to install because the holes were 15 apart which is on mye inch shorter than the standard stub width in most American homes. Therefore you can only put one screw into the stud. However, they did include drywall anchors. I chose to put the shelves up two and two because of my space, but there are 4 shelves. Really nice! It is raw. So it requires you to stain it if you want. But that allows you to change it to any color and match your room. We stained it a natural color. Easy to install my husband said. I still need to put stuff on it for decoration. But so far I like it. It is deeper than stated. It is well made. It seems a bit pricey to me for being raw wood.
