I wasn't sure from the photo if the sides of the plate were perfectly round or a bit more hand-crafted, but I was pleased to see they're more artisan, hand-crafted - although you can still stack them. 10" is definitely big enough for a dinner plate and they have some depth to them, which is very nice. This set is absolutely beautiful. These feel and look like hand thrown pottery. The description said they were green, but they definitely have a mixture of green and a dark blue. If you are looking for a uniform piece, this is not it. The colors are unique to each and every piece. The dishes are heavy and have quite a bit of depth to them.
