We recently had new floors installed and are slowly replacing all of our living room furniture. This is the first piece we purchased, and I assembled it by myself. The small screwdriver included with it eventually gave me blisters, so I switched to one we already owned. Attaching the top piece was a little tricky at first, but once I realized it was easier to lie on my back underneath the table to insert the screws, the rest was easy. It’s a solid table and looks great. I work from home so it’s been nice to extend the top of the table and use it as a desk while catching up on TV shows. This table is cute. However, when I unboxed it, it already had a scratch across the top. The other issue was even though its all screwed in all the way the hydraulics seem to have issues. When opening you have to pull relatively hard as well as be careful when you close it because it drops hard. The hydraulic is also very wobbly and i cant figure out why. I am editing my review after a couple of days of use and “sitting” with our purchase. Pros, I like the design element and details of the piping along the front and rear of the table. It gives great movement. I like the fact that the table has large storage space and functionality. I like how large the table is. I don’t care that the table itself doesn’t look or feel like real wood. It looks like particle board and has a hollow sound when you tap the top of it. It also wears fingerprints easily so I am going to have to constantly wipe down the table. That is why I gave 45 stars. This is a great little coffee table. It is rather small so check the dimensions carefully. It works well in my tiny living room though. I didn’t give it five stars because the lift mechanism isn’t very smooth and it feels like it’s going to break or something and if you don’t have anything in the table you have to hold it still to pull out the lift or it scoots towards you instead of opening. Also it doesn’t lift very high at all, it’s only a couple of inches away from my knees if I scooted it to be over them. Overall though a nice small coffee table with decent storage space.. Morgan. Good quality build. Excellent for the price. Was a bit smaller than what i expected. Quick shipping, and good packaging. Assembly - Easy, about to 1-2 hours depending on your experience. Most tricky part of assembly was screwing in the lift-top mechanism into the table sides and top, due to lack of space and odd position for screwing in.
