I chose these curtains for our drafty, 100 year old new england farmhouse guest room. They are beautifully made and definitely block out the light, the sound, and help insulate the room from the cold. Very nice quality, very heavy. Overall I really like these curtains, I didn't realize that the design (darker part) was threaded to make the design, meaning it can snag. Other than that I'm loving them! These are perfect for my LR windows. I ordered four panels. I needed something to block out the sun in the summer and cold now. I close the blinds but wanted additional blocking. The slightly off white color blends beautifully with my light grey walls, old 2" blinds, and old white trim paint. For only fifty bucks, I couldn't go wrong!
