I asked 2 questions before I bought this piece. Are the draws tongue and groove and are they soft close. For $2,500+ they should be both. They are tongue and groove but there is so much paint on them that it’s hard to tell. They are NOT soft close when I was told they were. That being said it’s a solid, heavy, well made piece of furniture. A bit lighter in color than I was anticipating but looks good in the room.
