Leisure Ways Wind Chime 70 Inch

A favorite, tuned to the traditional scale of Balinese shadow puppet play. This chime gets its tuning from one of the brightest elements of the music of Bali, an exotic scale played by percussive gamelan orchestras. The warm winds and plentiful precipitation of the rainforest bring about lush, colorful plants and flowers. They don’t guarantee this beautiful-sounding wind chime will bring you rain, but they do guarantee it will bring you joy. This chime carries a lifetime tuning guarantee.

Exceeded my expectations. Great quality, including the chime.. Joyce. Cincinnati, OH. Fri Jun 12 2026

When the wind blows, this wind chime plays the familiar notes of London's Big Ben, pealing out the glorious sound. This wind chime plays the famous tones of London's Big Ben, pealing out glorious sounds of celebration and spiritual richness. The unique sound of these long tubes is the result of the special way their brain perceives the vibrations from their ear known as the missing fundamental (when a sound's overtones suggest a frequency to their ear which the sound itself lacks). Their Westminster Wind Chime plays the same traditional and joyous melody as the Westminster quarters heard in the streets of central London for over 150 years. Pause a brief while with me, to hear. The chime which is floating sweet and clear. Above the city's rush and roar, as a wild bird's song by a lakelet's shore.

Absolutely beautiful sound. Very reminiscent of church bells. So peaceful and grounding to hear while sitting outside amongst nature.. Meredith. Plainfield, IL. Sat May 02 2026

The Chimes of Neptune is designed and handcrafted for superior musical performance and is hand-tuned to a five-note scale found all over the world. It acts in concert with the wind to create random patterns of wonderful music and will work in perfect harmony with all other Encore Collection chimes right in your own back yard. Neptune’s distant blue-green world has a dynamic atmosphere and blustery weather. Temperatures drop to minus 400 degrees Fahrenheit and ferocious winds gust to 900 mph. Our Chimes of Neptune do not require gusting winds; they will play pleasing sounds with the gentlest breeze. This soft music may remind one of the celestial, all-women’s chorus at the end of Gustav Holst’s Neptune, The Mystic.

Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. How it all began. Garry and his wife Diane founded Woodstock Chimes / Woodstock Percussion, in 1979 and it remains based in New York's Hudson Valley. GRAMMY Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad created the first Woodstock Chime from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill. As a professional musician and instrument designer, he was fascinated by the Scales of Olympos, a 7th-century pentatonic scale that can't be played on a modern piano. Garry had the idea to cut and tune the lawn chair chime tubes to the exact frequency of the ancient scale. The resulting Chimes of Olympos was the first Woodstock Chime and is still one of our best-selling wind chimes.

This handcrafted steel bell has a contemporary charm and a great tone. This handcrafted, wind-activated bell, with its bold tone and design, functions nicely as a welcome bell at any entrance to your home or garden. They tone their bells to unite two important ways the instrument vibrates. One is the sound of the bell itself and the other is the hollow chamber inside the bell that acts like an organ pipe. The slots on the sides of the bell are the secret to this unique coupling. The result is a rich sound with much depth and beauty. This steel ball has been coated with a handsome, durable finish, so you can enjoy it for years to come. Hang your Heroic Large Wind Chime in a breezy spot and let it play in the wind.

The Heroic Windbell™ Wind Chime is a very nice chime. Made with quality metal material and the sound of the chime is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is extremely heavy. I bought it to hang on a shepards hook by our pool but it is way too heavy. We will need to get a strong mounted hook to support its weight. Overall very happy because it is a uniquie item.. Bonny. Tuned to the opening phrase of Debussy's Clair de Lune. This Clair de Lune Wind Chime is tuned to the opening phrase of Clair de Lune, a distinctive melody made up of seven two-note chords. To replicate this, the chime was designed with two different sized clappers, so both the upper and lower tubes are struck at the same time. In this way, it plays “double stops,” or two notes at one time. Clair de Lune translates to “Light of the Moon” or “Moonlight” and is the third movement of the suite bergamasque, one of the most famous piano suites composed by Claude Debussy. First written around 1890, when Debussy was only 28, this melody was used for the Bellagio Fountain scene at the end of Ocean’s Eleven. A true original, there’s no other wind chime designed to play chords in this way.

Woodstock wind singer chimes are musically tuned using an ancient system known as just intonation. This means the frequencies at which the different tubes vibrate are related to one another by simple whole-number ratios. Tones that are related in this way produce the purest, most beautiful musical intervals. This chime is tuned to an ancient Chinese pentatonic scale. Deep tone that creates a symphonic, soothing, and elegant sound.. Janie. Sat Dec 13 2025

Bells have been used throughout the ages to accompany dance, provide comfort, and warn of possible danger. The Chinese were the first to control the pitch or note of a bell, making it possible for them to play tunes. Soon bells were being used to accompany worship. On New Year's Eve, the bells in Buddhist temples are rung 108 times, once for each of the 108 worldly desires. In the East, bells have become very important and are often decorated with significant symbols. For centuries, tuned bells have been suspended in homes and temples to ward off evil and attract good luck and prosperity. Temple Bells Wind Chime is inspired by these ancient bells and works in harmony with the wind to create gentle, soothing tones.

Must be heard! The special acoustic effect makes "2001" sound like a million! Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime features a musical phenomenon known as Octave Doubling. Here's how it works you remember the Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do scale from the Sound of Music? The "Do" notes at the start and end of this scale are the same note, an octave apart. Notes separated by an octave are considered harmonically equivalent and "ring" together in a way that adds a pleasing sound to the music. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime takes this theory to the extreme each note of this wind chime is matched with its "octave double." Never before used in wind chimes, this special tuning creates a heightening of the harmonics, creating a song that must be heard to be believed. Their Magical Mystery Space Odyssey Wind Chime is tuned to the intervals of the first notes of the famous symphonic poem, also spinach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, more commonly known as the powerful musical opening to Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. The chime-within-a-chime design couples notes in four octaves, exponentially increasing the soundscape and quadrupling the octave-doubling effect! Woodstock Chimes The Original Musically Tuned Wind Chimes. Tuned to beautiful melodies and scales from around the world and available in a wide range of styles, songs, and sizes, you can choose the Woodstock Chime that speaks to your soul. HOW IT ALL BEGAN. In 1979, the first Woodstock Chime was created by GRAMMY® Award-winning musician Garry Kvistad from an aluminum lawn chair he found in a landfill.
