I did get a professional to build and there were 2 people that arrived (assuming they always tackle jobs together as they were husband and wife) it took a little over 3 hours to build. This was a great purchase. It replaces a smaller fireplace tv stand I had. I am very pleased with how it looks. Assembly took a while, as I did it all myself. But the instructions are detailed and clear. Just know that if you put this together, don't plan on moving for a while. Haha. This won't be easy to just disassemble. One other thing is that I had to order different wall anchors, because mine does not sit flush against the wall due to some of my cord placements behind it. Overall it’s pretty good. Kind of pricey for the cheap materials but it does give a “grand look” when done. Took about 3 days to build everything. Pay extra attention to the instructions and orientation of the pieces which are sometimes hard to see in the pictures. **Ours in the final photo is still under construction..it needs to be leveled on each side. We also moved the top section close to the ceiling because we are going to build around it and make it into one full wall unit. I did most of it myself until the big pieces needed to be rolled over or stood up and when it came time to put the doors on. I was a little disappointed that one of the 4 units that came in looked like it was damaged and repaired but thankfully customer service offered a solution. Also about 4 of the door handle bolts were too small and wouldn't work. The shipping boxes were a little beat up but the packaging was good inside and it all survived getting to us. I've assembled 2/3rd of the set and my reaction thus far is positive. The until looks really good aesthetically, looks like thick real hard wood from far and the build is not flimsy. For the price this is a good unit to have. It took me about 5 hours to assemble 2/3rd by myself. The negatives: 1. Despite the description saying it's Engineered wood, it's not. It's particle board construct - less durable in a long run. 2. Lazy Quality Assurance. Some of the packets aren't even labeled and you have to guess.
