The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. Great desk with lots of great drawer space. The drawers are on ball-bearing slides, so they open and close very smoothly. Rock solid. Makes a great desk for a double 27" monitor setup.
