When my husband and I found this elephant sprinkler we were excited. Read the reviews and takeaways to get it running correctly. I love elephants and this little guy was going to have a home in our yard. Once it arrived we had already created a new sidewalk from our driveway connecting to the main one from the road which in turn created an empty space that needed attention. I have always wanted a fountain for the birds and wildlife around us. It was the perfect opportunity. Research. research, research, finally came up with this idea. Purchased a 30gal pond, fountain pump for 6-8’, also a female to female adapter for the hose source on the back of the elephant. I used 12”. Used flag stone to edge the pond. In order to Set the elephant above the waterline I used a block that is used to set decking posts with another half cinder block on top and dressed the top of the cinder block with a piece of flagstone on top. A bit of landscaping and this is our creation. Oh one other piece of info you have to unscrew the sprinkler adapter from the trunk of the elephant to get the stream of water from the trunk.. India. I would encourage buying the tool that is needed to cut the line instead of scissors. It will help prevent leaks. Pros: it is made of cast iron, heavy, which is nice. It was not hard to put together and hook up. It look nice decoratively Cons: when we hooked it up there was a very small leak on the top of the iron spout. Luckily we bought 2 and used the spout out of the other one, will need to return 1 or buy another spout. The holes on the top cap piece, if you lined them up and used the screws it left a small gap, without the screws it laid flat but is loose without the screws.
