Beautiful HEAVY chairs. These are very heavy and sturdy. They are also easy to clean. It’s an easy wipe fabric. But still fabric. Finally, ALL assembled (many months later)! The first day I got the package -large single box with everything - I assembled the table and one chair. I was exhausted! The table is solid wood and heavy, but I was able to turn it right side up alone. The chairs were just a tedious task to assemble, if you have a power tool to screw the weird screws in, it will save you time. The L screw is hard on the hands with the amount of screws used. The only flaw I noticed on my items were one of the chairs were chipped, bad (second photo). Other than that, everything was in tip top shape. The cushions are hard, but comfy when seated, they do have a weird scent out of the package. Suggest you spray it with some fabric softener or whatever to better the scent. Firstly- Wayfair customer service is actually great. They sent me a whole new table after parts went missing in shipment, and even picked up the old incomplete table. Secondly- this review needs a video. It's shocking how easy it is to expand this table- and it looks so continuous- it doesnt suddenly have a completely different grain in the middle. I love that the leaf stays in place and protected- and that i dont have to get everyone's help to extend my table. The table itself is stunning and so easy to assemble. The wood grain is just the most divine color. It looks luxurious and Im in love. One downside to this table that I didnt think about- the legs are not actually getting 19" further apart. The top is expanding- which makes it super easy to expand, but a bit more of a challenge to fit chairs across, as the legs arent getting further apart. So you kind of do need to use small, maybe some elegant folding chairs, when you extend, as a full additional dining chair probably wont fit on each side Lastly- the packaging of the leaflet isn't great. Both tables, the leaflet was bent and partially damaged. We were able to use a rubber mallet to hammer back in place. We were lucky the new table had damage only on the hidden side of the leaflet , but our first table was badly damaged on both sides. oh, and, after Christmas, we had a small hole on the table- not sure what, but kind of seemed like a burn mark. it seems like the top layer of the wood might be fragile and prone to heat damage- I'll just have to wait and see about longevity. For the packaging, legs, and potential fragility of the top surface, im giving 4 stars to an almost perfect table. After all, the legs issue is probably a problem with all built in leaflet tables, but just one i never thought about before, and one that really hinders seating of large parties. This is one of the best purchases we have made from Wayfair. It is MUCH nicer in person - super high quality and very durable. We've had this for 5-6 years now and it still looks brand new. The 60" table IS huge - so make sure you have enough room for it, and that whatever area rug you get, allows for chairs to be pulled out for seating.
